Real Estate Insurance New York: Shopping Center Event Ideas
There are many ways for retailers to drive traffic into their stores, which ultimately results in more customers overall in the shopping center. But as a shopping center owner, how to you drive customers in who aren’t specifically looking for a shop in your mall, or may not know what stores are even in your center?
National malls, such as Simon, hold large events regularly, such as the Kidgits “Breakfast with Santa” during the holidays or “Mom’s Nite Out” near Mother’s Day. Any shopping center can benefit from holding events though, so here are just a few ideas.
Host a fashion show: During back to school time, you could invite kids and parents to come for a fashion show in the mall’s center, featuring apparel from kid’s clothing stores. Or, when one of your department stores gets a new line, have them show it off.
Have holiday-themed events: Halloween is coming up; allow kids to trick-or-treat throughout your mall and provide the stores with candy and/or stickers. This can be promoted as a safe way for parents to take their kids out on Halloween night.
Celebrity/ Author Meet & Greets: Do you have any celebrities or authors that live in your area? See if they’d be willing to hold a meet & greet or photo/book signing in your center. If your mall has a bookstore, get them involved as well.
Concerts: Invite local bands, singers, or even high school choirs/bands to come perform for an hour or so in your mall’s center. This is especially fun to do during holidays.
